DSA Mission Statement:
The SME of Greater Baton Rouge Distinctive Sales Awards (DSA) were established to recognize excellence and outstanding performance in the sales profession. With standards of sophistication and skill in the sales profession continually improving, the wider business community has become increasingly aware of the value and role that these professionals play in the achievement of business success. These highly demanding functions of the business process are arguably the critical success factors for most organizations. In other words, nothing happens until someone sells something.
For this reason, DSA are designed to recognize, promote and honor excellence, professionalism and outstanding achievement in sales. The awards event showcases the highest level of talent in our community. Winning an award, or just being nominated, confers prestige, not just on the individuals but also on the companies they represent, illustrating the high standards of management, training and commitment to excellence within these companies.
Everyone likes to be recognized for his or her efforts. A nomination for a SME-GBR DSA tells outstanding performers that their efforts are both recognized and valued by their companies.

Award Entry Procedure:
Complete the Nomination Form and mail to SME-GBR DSA, P. O. Box 86336, Baton Rouge, LA. 70879-6336. Or, complete the nomination form utilizing SME of Greater Baton Rouge website: www.smegbr.org
Nominations are presented to a panel of judges for review and selection. DSA honorees will be recognized at a luncheon on Thursday, March 25, 2010.Nominations are open to the community! Anyone may nominate an individual for a DSA. Neither nominator, nor nominee must be a member of SME of Greater Baton Rouge.
Nominee must have been with present company in sales or sales management for a minimum of two (2) years.
Criteria/Information to submit concerning nominee. Please use the DSA Nomination Form only! In addition to the form, please address the following criteria questions on a separate sheet of paper:
Significant sales contributions made
Attributes that contributed to his/her success.
Exceptional Professionalism
Achievement in Sales
Civic or Community Involvement
Professional Accomplishments
